Privacy Policy

BroPayy helps friends split shared expenses. This policy explains what we collect and why.
What we collect
When you sign in with Google we receive your name and email address. You may add a display name, a username, a UPI ID and, optionally, your gender. Inside groups you create or join, we store the expenses, shares, payments and notifications you and your friends record.
How we use it
Only to run the app: to identify you, show your groups to the people in them, calculate balances, and send in-app notifications and payment reminders. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Who can see it
Members of a group can see that group, its expenses and each other's display names, usernames and UPI IDs. Your email address and gender are never shown to other users. Data is stored with Supabase and the app is hosted on Vercel. Bill photos you scan are read by an AI service through OpenRouter, and GIFs in the meme pack load from GIPHY; neither gets your name or email. Photos you put in story templates never leave your phone. If you joined through a friend’s invite link, you count toward their perks (they see a number, not your details).
Deleting your data
Email us from the address you signed in with and we will delete your account and everything linked to it.
